Ultra Slim Sightlines
Timberlook uPVC Bi folding doors combine high strength aluminium and upvc profiles to produce a slim-sash door that achieves sight lines very similar to that of our aluminium or timber bifold doors with the cost effectiveness of upvc profiles. This combination of materials provides a bifolding door with exceptionally slim sight lines when compared to most other pvcu bifold doors that are manufactured using much wider and heavier door profiles.
When the door is closed the sight line size glass to glass is just 132mm for adjacent panels that fold and slide in the same direction which is considerably less than most other upvc folding doors. Where the traffic door opens in the opposite direction to the main stack the sight line is 222mm. Where two traffic doors meet the sight line is 160mm and where two sliding doors meet the sight line is 256mm.

Aluminium Head & Threshold Track System
A thermally broken aluminium frame head and threshold provides a concealed track for smooth and secure operation of the folding door system ensuring the doors cannot be lifted from the track whilst in the closed position. The threshold is supplied in an anodised finish to ensure a long lasting hard wearing surface finish.
High Performance Weatherseals
All panels of our Timberlook folding sliding door benefit from dual weather seals on both the inside and outside edges of each panel and have dual brush seals on the top and bottom ensuring a fully weatherproof door. All weather seals and brush seals are supplied in black regardless of the colour of the door.
Most folding doors require trickle vents to be fitted to comply with building regulations and these will be fitted to a 50mm high frame extender on top of the frame head. So that the trickle vents don't spoil the aesthetics of the doors we also provide an additional weather bar trim which when fitted to the frame extender will conceal the trickle vents from view and also enhance the performance of the door.
Thermally Efficient Reinforcing
Timberlook pvc-u folding sliding doors feature the latest innovative RCM(Recycled Composite Material) reinforcing which not only makes our upvc bifold doors more thermally efficient but because the RCM is welded at the corners at the same time as the sash profile it actually produces a weld strength 50% greater than a standard upvc frame.
Timberlook pvcu folding doors are manufactured using the same running gear, tracks, hinges and locking systems used on our popular range of timber folding doors.
Concealed Track and Hinges
The maintenance free rollers run in a concealed aluminium track system and the high security hinges feature fixings that are only accessible when the door is open ensuring there is no opportunity for a possible intruder to lift the door from the track or to force the hinges from the door to gain access. All hinges are supplied in black finish only.
Flush Track Option
The aluminium track can be sunk into the floor to provide a flush threshold where the inside and outside floor levels are at the same height but other threshold options are available.

High Security Locking
Our Timberlook upvc folding sliding doors feature lever handle operated multi-point high security locking systems fitted with hardened steel hook bolts and dead bolt to traffic doors. Intermediate folding panels are fitted with internal fold flat lever handles operating the top and bottom integrated shoot bolt locking system.
Door configurations featuring traffic doors will also have a powder painted aluminium meeting stile colour matched to the door colour.
High Performance Double Glazing
Made to measure Timberlook pvcu bifolding doors are supplied with our 1.1 U-value energy efficient solar control double glazing as standard. Staycool reflects 57% of solar heat whilst in the winter the internal surface of the glass reflects your generated heat back into the room and provides a very effective 1.1 U-value. Cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter!
