Folding Sliding Door Threshold Options

Most upvc bifolding doors have a substantial threshold to allow for the gearing tracks that can often add up to more than a 125mm step-over. Timberlook PVCu Bifold Doors incorporate a 52mm high aluminium threshold that can be fitted in three different ways to suit your specific requirements:

Flush Track

flush trackThe aluminium track and threshold is 52mm high but 45mm can be buried in the floor creating a flush track system that is especially suitable for internal folding sliding doors installed between the house and conservatory where a continuous floor level is required.

Flush Track with Projecting Cill

external thresholdFor external bi folding doors the track can be fitted flush to the inside floor level by lowering the external brickwork and an external aluminium projecting cill can be supplied that clips to the front of the aluminium threshold track profile.

Raised Track with Projecting Cill

raised thresholdOur uPVC Bifold doors can also be supplied with a conventional raised threshold and a projecting cill that does not increase the threshold height of 52mm. This is still a very low ‘step-over’ threshold when compared to other upvc folding doors that on many doors exceeds 125mm.

Running Gear

The rollers have sealed bearings for maintenance free use and because the running gear is encapsulated in the aluminium frame head and threshold the doors cannot be lifted from the track ensuring they are resistant to attack from intruders.
