Many of these upvc folding sliding doors have been designed using existing upvc door profiles that were originally designed for hinged entrance doors which meant that they produce wide bulky sightlines when adapted for use in folding doors. As you can see from this image the ugly face fixed hinges, wide profiles, together with exposed gearing create a upvc folding sliding door that is not particularly attractive especially when closed.

Slim Sightlines
Timberlook upvc folding sliding doors have been designed to provide slimmer sightlines so that when the door is closed you gain the maximum glass width possible eliminating the wide chunky sightlines normally associated with upvc bifold doors.
Manufactured from slim 60mm wide upvc ovolo scuptured door sash profile and strong colour matched aluminium head and threshold track system Timberlook upvc bifold doors provide a sightline of just 132mm glass to glass for panels moving in the same direction as is shown here.
This 3 panel upvc bifolding door is finished in Chartwell Light Green wood grain finish and is fitted with chrome furniture. The panel on the right hand side is a traffic door and when the complete door is fully opened all three panels will fold and slide to the left.
The slim width of the door sash profiles also allows narrower individual door panels from 500mm wide that up until now could only be offered by timber bifold doors.
Low Threshold
There are various threshold options available including a track that can be sunk into the floor to provide seamless flush floor levels ideal for when the door is being used internally as a room divider or separating the house and conservatory. All running gear is securely concealed within an aluminium track profile fitted to the threshold and frame head which ensures your door folds and slides effortlessly.
Where a raised threshold is required the height is still only 52mm above floor level which is considerably less than most upvc folding doors on the market that can often be three times this height.
This light oak upvc bifold door shows the flush threshold internally with the powder coat colour matched aluminium projecting cill externally.
Energy Efficient 1.1 U-value Double Glazing
Timberlook PVCu bifolding doors are now supplied with STAYCOOL double glazing as standard which offers an exceptionally low 1.1 U value to retain maximum heat during the colder months of the year. STAYCOOL also provides excellent solar control benefits for those long hot summer days by reducing glare by 35% and reflecting solar heat by 57% providing UV protection for you and your family. STAYCOOL is a neutral tint solar control glass.

Extended Colour Range
Our upvc bifolding doors are available in standard white finish or you can choose from an extended range of colour options including traditional wood grain finishes such as Rosewood and Light Oak or Green, Black, Grey or white.
These superb wood grain finishes are available on the inside and outside of your bifold door or if you prefer most colours also offer the option of standard(smooth)white finish internally ensuring your external door colour will never clash with your internal decor.

DIY Installation
Timberlook upvc folding sliding doors are also suitable for do it yourself installation or can be fitted by your builder. Doors are supplied unglazed with glass sealed units separate so the door can be installed and glazed using knock-in internal glazing beads. How To Order
When you are ready to order we will discuss all the options with you to ensure your new upvc folding sliding door is manufactured exactly as you require it. We will confirm your order by email with a drawing of the door so that you can verify the details prior to manufacture.
Payment
All major credit and debit cards are accepted at no extra cost. A 50% deposit is required at time of order with the balance payable 5 days prior to your agreed delivery date.
Delivery
Delivery is free to mainland UK destinations excluding Cornwall and the Scottish Highlands where an additional charge may apply.
Timberlook uPVC folding sliding doors are normally delivered using 7.5 ton vehicles but depending on your location we do sometimes use larger articulated vehicles so please tell us if there are any restrictions locally that may prevent either type of vehicle reaching your location.
All doors are assembled in the factory where they are checked and tested before shipment. Folding doors wider than 3 metres or higher than 2.2 metres will normally be delivered as an assembly kit due to transport restrictions. Please note doors shipped fully assembled will require a minimum of two people on site to accept delivery.
