Aluminium Bifold Doors
Our aluminium bifold doors range is manufactured from dedicated aluminium profiles designed by one of the UK's leading architectural aluminium system suppliers Smart Systems. Their Visofold series aluminium folding sliding doors has been available in the UK and Europe for a number of years offering both domestic and commercial bifold door applications.
Aluminium bi-folding doors are renown for their ease of operation and reliability in service and our doors also benefit from a dual roller system at the bottom with the panel tops also guided by rollers for smooth running. When fully open the doors stack neatly together ensuring the maximum opening possible is achieved.
Visofold 1000 Slimline Aluminium Bifold Doors
An aluminium folding sliding door with exceptionally slim sight lines of just 132mm!
The Visofold 1000 range of aluminium bifold doors eliminates the need for sliding or floating mullions between the panels and the ultra slim aluminium sash profile width of 60mm produces a much slimmer sight line between hinged panels of only 132mm. Available with a 50mm high weathered threshold or a 20mm low threshold the Visofold 1000 range of folding sliding doors is set to become a favourite with our customers not only because of the slim sight lines but also because it is very competitively priced.
Choose from over 200 Colours
Visofold 1000 folding sliding doors are manufactured from thermally broken aluminium profiles that are available in over 200 RAL powder paint finishes and can also be supplied with a dual paint colour finish so you can select an external colour and an internal colour. Low Threshold Option
Visofold aluminium folding sliding doors benefit from strong, durable profiles and a choice of low or weathered thresholds. The non-weathered low threshold provides the opportunity to create flush floor levels between two living spaces by sinking the threshold into the floor merging the two floor areas into one. This is particularly useful for room dividers or for doors installed between the main house and conservatory where the doors are often left open most of the time. Bifold Doors in Conservatories
Aluminium bifold doors are ideal for use as conservatory doors and are often requested by customers who feel aluminium doors provide a stronger durable door especially when wide door apertures are required. When fitted in conjunction with a steel support beam aluminium folding sliding doors up to 6 metres can be fitted to open-up the complete front of a conservatory or as shown here two bifold doors can open up the corner of the structure with stunning effect.

High Security Locking
Our Visofold aluminium bi-folding doors feature high security shoot bolt locking as standard and where available traffic doors are fitted with multi-point hook bolt locking to provide optimum security. The locking system, hinges and running gear are fully concealed when the door is closed ensuring that there is no opportunity for an intruder to gain access by tampering with the door gearing, hinges and fixings.
Handle Options
Lever/Lever handles operate the hook bolt locking system on traffic doors and provide external key access whilst intermediate panel shoot bolt locking is operated by internal fold-flat handles as shown. Handles are available in white, chrome or black finishes but can be supplied to any RAL colour at extra cost. Please note that the style of traffic door handle will differ when RAL colour handles are specified. 'D' handles(black or chrome only) are fitted to the hinges of the intermediate panels to allow easy opening and closing of the bifold doors.
Hinges
All hinge fixings are concealed when the door is closed with only the knuckle of the hinge visible. The bottom rolling hinge is fitted with 4 wheels running on a tandem stainless steel track and the top hinge also incorporates a guide roller to ensure the panels fold and slide effortlessly. All hinges are supplied in black finish which match the black weatherseal gaskets between each panel.
Open In or Out
Your new bi-folding door can be specified to stack inwards or outwards at no additional cost to suit your specific requirements and since every door is made to order you can be sure of a perfect fit.
